The head of state traveled to speak to Ukrainian forces in the eastern front on Tuesday. The president confirmed that he met with fighters at the command post of the first unit of the state defense force Azov, which is leading defense efforts in the Dobropillya area, a location approximately a short distance from Pokrovsk.

Critical Situation in the Area

Recent mapping from a local initiative indicated that invading troops had made gains into Pokrovsk and its environs, though a large portion lacked clear dominance by both forces. The status is precarious, with reports indicating that opposition troops were digging in and strengthening posts in certain areas.

Russian forces continue to advance in the Pokrovsk direction and appear to be operating with increasing comfort within Pokrovsk itself.

Research institutes noted that national troops had recaptured substantial territory of a Russian penetration in the Dobropillya front, on the eastern edge of the Pokrovsk campaign.

National Drone Strikes Within Russia

The President's Requests for Allied Help

The Ukrainian president called on America to remain open to supplying Kyiv with extended-distance arms. Addressing a European Union summit from the eastern front, the head of state also called for more international restrictions on the federation – including on Russia's gas and nuclear sectors – and said he sought accession to the union prior to the next decade.

International Support and Diplomatic Updates

The European nation plans to boost armed assistance to Ukraine by three billion euros next year to about a significant sum, the finance ministry in the capital said on the weekday.
