In a unexpected crossover event that breaks usual predictions, Ubisoft has revealed an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, offering complimentary additional story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Questline Revealed

According to the authorized announcement, "A mysterious encounter leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where whispers of forbidden practices and terrifying transformations reverberate through the shadows." The plot introduces a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the pair with journeying into the Crystal Cave—a important location from Attack on Titan—to save her companion from a hidden cult.

The adventure centers on "peculiar tests and a fearsome enemy" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Iconic Locations and Transformations

The preview showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The preview ends with a dramatic moment showing a character, presumably the hostage, changing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Prizes and Extra Content

Players who successfully complete the quest will receive an special katana together with numerous artifacts concealed throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also contains purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
